Project: Sonder is the idea that every living person, every passerby, is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. But what about the objects in our lives? Are their existence not as crucial and vital to the everyday stories of our lives? Sonder is one word - one idea - that is transferred onto all these objects: it is the idea that objects are significant in the stories of others that may not even be noticed by us in our lives. That crushed beer can you passed by while on the way to your car doesn't mean anything to you, but for somebody else it is a crucial part of a story in their life. This operates just the same as how that car air freshener, used makeup pad, or pair of old beat up shoes may not hold any attachment or value to anybody else except for you, but still: it holds importance; it holds significance; it holds a story. This is a visual representation of the feeling and experience of Sonder through objects.
Tools: Canon 60D camera with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, Acrylic Screen-Printed Ink.
