Howdy! I’m Kristy. I'm an Independent Illustrative Designer & Printmaker with a passion to bring warmth and playfulness into unconventional spaces through the use of illustration and original typography.

You might notice that many of the subjects of pieces are none other than food! I started to see how the ingredients that go into a meal are similar to the mediums that help to make a masterpiece. Julia Child once said, “Find something you’re passionate about, and keep tremendously in it.” This inspired me to combine my love of cooking and illustration together in the pieces that I create.
During the day, you can catch me being what my husband calls, “The Mrs. Frizzle of the Art World!” as I teach elementary art. With an aspiration to write and illustrate children's books, it was no surprise that I’d love getting to spend every day with my favorite audience of little humans while helping them to express themselves through creative processes and exploration.

I never had time to start an Indie Band, so instead I started an online shop: Breakfast For Dinner: a brunch of eggscellent goodies that will leave you feeling full.

I graduated from Florida State University in 2017, where I majored in Studio Art, with focuses in Text + Media and Printmaking, and minored in Media Communications and Art History.
I returned “back to school” in 2019, and received my Professional Teaching Certification in 2022 for Art K-12.

Most importantly, my veins are filled with coffee, I'm probably busy reading a book as we speak (add me on Goodreads!), and I'm just trying to be as good of a person as my pets think I am.
