Project: Our 2022 Christmas Card: Merry Chaos, a tribute to all the chaos that seemed to ensue (more than usual) during our first year of marriage.
For our Christmas Cards during the years 2019 - 2021, I was creating them based on a template I had made the first year: a snowglobe ornament hanging from a tree with the two of us + our 3 pets. It changed slightly in 2020, and then again in 2021. View these versions here on my Extra Illustration Page.
However, for 2022, I wanted to do something different. Having just wrapped up another children's book where I created full-spread illustrations, I wanted to tap more into that for this design. Plus, it gave me a chance to update my current style of illustration.
In the book of our lives, this would definitely be the cover.
(But no, we did not actually burn the tree! We just joke that the cats will do it one day to avenge us!)
