Project: I get by with a little help from my (food) friends! 😋 Let me introduce you to my Art Class Mascots. For those who don't know, I'm an elementary art teacher by day. My theme for my art room involves food, of course, and I had the idea to create mascots based on the mediums we use in our art projects: ceramics, fiber, mixed media, printmaking, painting + drawing, sculpture, and digital.
My students recognize these mascots in my room as an indication of the projects we're doing, as well as for classroom management purposes such as spots for line-up. We love our "Food Art Friends." (but no, it's a tomato -- not a strawberry)
