Project: TL;DR ➡️ I designed something new for @breakfastfordinner.co for the first time in 3 years because I finally had a wave of inspiration hit (even if my response was frustration)‼️
Not to get super political here… but something struck a nerve with me a couple weeks ago. JD Vance, Tr👎🏻mp’s VP running mate, made comments about the “childless left” — he spoke how people without children have less of a stake in the country’s future.
“We’re effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
“It’s just a basic fact. […] the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people that don’t have a direct stake in it?”

As a childless cat lady, this lit a real fire under my butt… such a sizzling hot fire that I actually got incredibly inspired for the first time in THREE YEARS to make a design about it, and that one idea spiraled into FOUR NEW DESIGNS. What! WHAT.
I chose to put the designs up with @bonfire — it took a lot for me to give up control of not actually printing these by hand myself, but I’m realizing with my current workload, this is the best option. Hope these designs resonate with you! I’m stupidly proud of them. They evolved into so much more than I initially envisioned.
